SMM Success
Napier Turbochargers announced a major success at the SMM 2010 exhibition.
In September Napier exhibited at the SMM Show in Hamburg. The SMM Show is the largest marine shipbuilding exhibition in the world with visitors from all over the world attending. The show is a bi-annual event and probably the most important event in Napier's calendar.
Napier contracted an exhibition specialist company, N2o Ltd, to design and build the concept which was very well received by all who visited the stand. The show itself was a big success with a number of potential new customers, service contracts and spare parts orders resulting from the company's attendance at the show. A major 3 year contract was also signed between Napier and a major ferry operator at the show.
All of Napier's OEM customers attended the show and a number of fruitful discussions were held with them in relation to future business and increase in demand. Napier also hosted some potential new major OEM customers with whom talks are ongoing.
Napier are looking to develop the success of the SMM 2010 show to future events, in particular the SMM 2012 event in Hamburg.
